At Mosaic Movement, diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just values—they are foundational to our identity and mission. As a nonprofit founded and led by women of color, we understand firsthand the importance of representation, access, and belonging.
We are committed to:
● Diversity: Building and maintaining a team that represents the richness of the communities we support, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, religion, language, and ability.
● Equity: Ensuring our programs and resources are accessible to all, especially those historically marginalized or underserved. We tailor our support services to meet people where they are, addressing barriers that prevent equitable outcomes.
● Inclusion: Creating a safe, welcoming, and empowering environment for all. We actively invite community voices into our planning and decision-making processes to ensure every voice is heard and valued.
We believe that healing, empowerment, and transformation can only happen when everyone feels seen, respected, and uplifted. Our DEI efforts are woven into everything we do, from hiring practices to program development.
Mosaic’s 3 Community Programs
Our programs are focused on providing supportive services to children, adolescents and adults. Below is a breakdown of all three
Los Niños Center
Los Niños Center child developmental program creates an opportunity to teach children in underserved communities how to manage communication challenges, while also providing them with emotionally supportive tools to help them navigate through life's drastic changes.
This program is focused on children discovering their voice and building on their identity. By the end of our program, children will be equipped with learning strategies and be able to speak for themselves by the time they start school. These skills help support them in academics while also supporting their social skills in creating and maintaining healthy relationships.
Danscilla
Our mission is to work alongside children who have experienced childhood trauma. No child should walk through life without receiving supportive services. Danscilla’s goal is to cultivate a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where children can receive counseling services and start the healing process.
Lumra Center
LUMRA’s mission is to be a safe place where sexual assault survivors can start the healing process. We offer a wide range of services such as community support groups, trauma therapy, family groups and advocacy services.
